The Update

My September numbers are in. This month we only managed to pay our debt down by $216.00. I've updated the totals in the sidebar to reflect this. We did this consciously. We moved into our house two years ago. It's new construction and we didn't have any trees in our backyard. So, in September we purchased and planted four large trees. We used our home equity line of credit to pay for the trees. I know I said I was sick of the debt, but this is exactly what our home equity line of credit was opened for and really it's the credit card debt I want gone first. Sounds like a whole paragraph of excuses, doesn't it? Well, I guess it is. Next month a lot more money will be subtracted from our debt.

I started a No Credit Needed chart. It's listed as DebtMarathon and should be published tomorrow, I believe. Here is what my first chart looks like:

It's not pretty but it's at least a start. And the yellow sliver is only going to get bigger and bigger.
