The December Month End

December's accounts have closed and once again we had a successful month! Here are the latest numbers:

Debts:

CC debt: $5,917.02 (-171.72) - I'd like to see this number higher but I'll take it! And we broke the $6K mark!

HELOC: $14,589.77 (-136.40) - Still a little higher than the starting balance due to the trees. We'll be almost even next month and then it's down, down, down!

Student Loans: $4,877.12 (-155.84) - We broke the $5K mark! We'll continue making our regular monthly payments - until it's time to snowball this debt!

Savings:

Emergency Fund: $451.71 (+101.36) - Made regularly budgeted $100 contribution plus a little interest.

Fun Savings: $688.76 (+50.17) - Made regularly budgeted $50 contribution plus a little interest. This has gone down already in January when I transferred what was needed for the Christmas budget. I'm grateful we planned ahead to have this cash available for gifts and entertaining!

Anniversary Savings: $131.35 (+20.21) - Made regularly budgeted $20 contribution. Moved this to INGDirect this month to finally earn some better interest on this account!

Our NCN chart went from 7.02% to 8.68% this month. And now we've paid off over $2K of debt since September. That's not a huge increase from last month but I'm grateful we made progress. We'll keep chipping away at it each month and hopefully the chips will get bigger and bigger.

I like how you do the percentage of debt paid off... that is extra motivation!
